Experience the authentic warmth and natural splendor of Odisha in our cozy homestay. Meant for urban families who want to rough it out without being roughed up, this mini bungalow is contemporary in design and has modern fittings. It is ideal for one family with two grown-up children, two couples who are friends, or a group of six friends.

  • The property features two spacious bedrooms, each measuring 14ft x 16ft. These air-conditioned rooms have modern ceilings, are well-lit, and include two large windows for natural light. Each bedroom is equipped with twin beds and a center table, an open wardrobe, a study table, a single sofa with side table, and a quilt box.
  • A shared Jack and Jill bathroom, measuring 8ft x 12ft, connects both bedrooms. It includes a wall-mounted Western-style commode with hygiene faucet, a washbasin with mirror, good water pressure, and a warm-water shower.
  • The pantry, also 8ft x 12ft, is well-equipped for basic cooking needs. It features an induction stove, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, and various kitchen tools.
  • The common area, or foyer, spans 11ft x 16ft and serves as a covered space with glass and breeze-block openings. It includes a three-seater sofa, a divan, four outdoor foldable chairs, and four wooden stools.
  • The property is gated and securely fenced, with a curtilage featuring paver blocks. It boasts trees and a fence garden around, an attractive covered sitting area with a traditional dug well, a servant/driver toilet, adequate parking for three cars, and power backup.

  • Complete payment has to be made in advance to receive the system-generated Booking Voucher via Email.
  • All the guests are expected to produce the Booking Voucher along with the valid Photo IDs at the time of check-in.
  • Payment for Food, Food delivery, local sightseeing trips, and Boat rides to be paid directly to the courier or the small business owners in cash.
  • Check-In time is 12.00 Noon and Check-Out time is 10.00 AM the next day.
  • Children below 5 years are not charged.
  • An additional bed request is chargeable.

Direction to Basaghara On Chilika:

From Bhubaneswar
  1. From Khandagiri Junction turn towards Chandapur-Tangi on the NH16 towards Vizag/Chennai.
  2. Cross the Godipadar Toll plaza, Jankia, Malaguni Bridge, Rameswara, Badapokharia, SKIP the exit to Ugratara- Bhusandpur on your left and continue on the highway for 4/5 kilometres more.
  3. You will find an overhead water tank to your left and that is Katak Sahar, CONTINUE.
  4. Then spot a black colored restaurant to your left. That's NH16 Farmstay. SLOW.
  5. Just after crossing the Farmstay, take the left exit to the service road.
  6. Immediately after 50 meters you will see a road to your left. That is Benta-Sundarpur Road. TURN LEFT.
  7. Take that road to Udaygiri, Sundarpur and after 4.0 km Basaghara On Chilika will be on the left side, right behind a yellow coloured mandap in front of the School.
  8. The total trip will be ~65 km and 1 hour.
Note: Basaghara On Chilika can be approached from Ugratara-Busandapur side and also from Chandapur-Tangi side, which are a bit longer than the Benta-Sundarpur approach.
